We moved to Fort Assiniboine June 2006, and our kennels are still a work in progress.

In 2006, we immediately built the first building section...it is 40' long and divided into 8 individual 4 wide X 12 deep, separate night time compartments.
In front of this building we divided and installed chain link play areas.

In 2007 we completed the identical CED section. With huge play areas for lots of exercise and running room.

In 2008, we added more 9 gauge chain link panels, to make 4 ( 10 x 20 )and 1 even roomier ( 20 x 40 ) pens for our Malamutes, and enlarged a few other pens.

In summer 2009, we completed our new Puppy building.  It is 30 wide x 12 deep. We Divided it into 2 sections..with large 20 x 20 safe play area for babies to run in back.
This building unit is not inside the main kennel, to insure puppies safety and minimize exposure to diseases that might occur.

In the winter of 2009 (as we had no snow) , Owen completed fencing our entire property with 7'high game fence. Once our gate onto the property is installed, we can even allow the gang to run at large.which they will enjoy!

In 2010, we plan to complete the third & final section, and then have installed underground wiring & water lines.

We have our whole kennel area fenced with 7' high game fencing for additional protection.

We put everyone into their spaces for the picture

These 4 x 12 compartments are their dog houses, which also have a dog house inside and are used strictly for night time..and feeding .Doors are open during the day to provide shelter from the elements .

Here is a closer view of the inside play area...and the chain link additional corner kennel. You can see our Teddy having a nap and ignoring my picture taking.  Every compartment has a water bucket , which they get filled every morning and every night.

This is Owen , hard at work constructing our second kennel building for our Canadian Eskimo Dogs.

This unit is identical in size to match the first.  This building has it's back to the west for protection from blowing wind & snow.

Raven & Nutka in the newly completed kennel.  Notice we use sawdust for keeping everything nice & clean.  We applied about 8 inches , which will be packed down.

Owen designed & built these 2 new welping boxs to be 4 x 4 square, with sloped front to have easy access to puppies.
The complete floor of each interior portion has cement sidewalk blocks, so they can be sterilized after every litter.
